Are you suffering from chronic pain? Ulcers, Crohn’s Disease, fibromyalgia, arthritis, headaches/migraines, back pain—it doesn’t matter what kind of pain it is, if you’re hurting you really are suffering.
Out of all the ways to deal with the pain, it doesn’t seem like there’s an easy answer. Prescription medications are addictive and can make you feel like you’re not connected to Earth.
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) aren’t good for your stomach and actually make your pain worse if you’re dealing with ulcers, Crohn’s Disease, IBS, or other gastrointestinal disorders.
Other Options
Luckily for you, popping a pill isn’t the only answer. There are other natural ways of dealing with the pain that are cost effective, not addictive, and help you not hurt as much.
1-Capsaicin—Found in chile peppers, capsaicin can help alleviate pain immediately. Capsaicin works to alleviate pain by calming down the nerve receptors in the skin called C-fibers. If you suffer from arthritis, or other pain, try a capsaicin cream. You can find this cream in a pharmacy or a health food store.
2- Arnica—Usually used after an injury or surgery, this herb comes from a European flower and has several anti-inflammatory properties, which aren’t really understood how they help you. Arnica is available in a pill form and it can help decrease your pain.
3- Aquamin—This is a red seaweed supplement which contains a lot of magnesium and calcium. In a new study published in Nutrition Journal, Aquamin helped users taking it reduce arthritis pain and have less stiffness than those taking a placebo.
4- SAM-e (S adenosylmethionine)—This product is made from amino acids and is usually sold in capsule form. The science behind SAM-e isn’t understood, but the effects are clear: less pain and inflammation reduction. There aren’t any cardiovascular risks with this product, and you can pick it up at Costco or CVS.
Don’t keep suffering through your pain. Deal with it in a natural way. You don’t have to fight constant pain.
